How to Switch Gears

These past couple of weeks, we haven’t held regular Zoom meetings for our ISM class. It’s been up to us to stay on track and get done what we need to get done. Although I’ve been pretty consistent in scheduling meetings with my mentor, I haven’t been as consistent with conducting research into my topic of study - the research I’ve managed to conduct has been pretty shallow, but I’m determined to make the most of what I’ve got and do my best going forward. That being said, it’s getting closer and closer to the end of the year, and it’s time for me to switch gears and get started on the writing of my final report.
I’ve been doing research for the past couple months without necessarily knowing how everything I learn will fit into my report. I hope to give myself a solid month to finalize my report, with regular check-ins with my mentor. I think this will be enough time for me to include all the knowledge I’ve gained in the past couple months, as well as to conduct additional research as necessary in case I find that certain aspects of my report are not clear enough or well elaborated on.
It’s time for me to dust off my writing skills and compile all of the work I’ve done into one cohesive, concise report. I’m looking forward to this new step in my project, and I think I’ll be able to deliver a final product of which I am proud.
